Ariana Grande is setting the record straight about her bond with Wicked co-star Cynthia Erivo.
The 31-year-old singer and actress recently opened up to THR about their friendship, addressing the speculation that there’s more to their connection than just mutual admiration.
Throughout the Wicked press tour, the duo has been inseparable—holding hands, shedding tears together, and showing up in coordinated outfits. Their undeniable closeness has sparked plenty of rumours, with some fans convinced they’re more than just besties.
“People think we’re secretly married,” Ariana joked, referencing the surge of “Gelphie” fan fiction that romanticises their on-screen characters, Glinda and Elphaba.
“I wish I could unsee some things. I mean, wow, I had a feeling, but I didn’t know it would be on this scale or this graphic,” she added.
Seems like the internet might need to dial it back a little—but Ariana is clearly taking it all in stride.
