Britney Spears is logging off — again. The pop icon has deleted her Instagram account following a string of concerning posts that sparked fresh worry among fans about her wellbeing.

The “Gimme More” singer, 43, had been sharing a series of emotionally charged reflections on her past, including her time in rehab during her 13-year conservatorship. In one since-deleted Oct. 19 post, Britney opened up about the trauma of that period, writing, “For 4 months I no longer had my private door and illegally was forced to not use my feet or body to go anywhere. For a person like me who understands the sacredness is god speed… it did more than hurt my body. I do feel the logic and mindfulness in my body as ONE was 100 percent murdered and destroyed… I do feel like my wings were taken away and brain damage happened to me a long time ago 100 percent.”

Britney’s words painted a painful picture of her experience, leading many fans to flood her comments with messages of love and support. But her account deletion came amid rising scrutiny of her posts — and the resurfacing of her ongoing tension with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

Just weeks earlier, Federline released his memoir You Thought You Knew, which delved into his marriage with Britney and their relationship with sons Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19. The revelations prompted Britney to respond directly on X (formerly Twitter). “The constant gaslighting from ex-husband is extremely hurtful and exhausting,” she wrote. “I have always pleaded and screamed to have a life with my boys. Relationships with teenage boys is complex. I have felt demoralized by this situation and have always asked and almost begged for them to be a part of my life.”

She added that one son has only seen her “for 45 minutes in the past five years,” while the other has visited just four times. “I am the only one who genuinely gets hurt here,” Britney continued. “I am actually a pretty intelligent woman who has been trying to live a sacred and private life the past 5 years. I speak on this because I have had enough and any real woman would do the same.”

Earlier, Britney also explained the reason behind the bandages seen in her photos. “Psss I fell down the stairs at my friend’s house. It was horrible,” she shared, clarifying that her posts were a form of expression, not a cry for help. “This is the way I express myself and pray through art … I just want to be a good woman and be better … and I do have wonderful support.”

While the account deletion left fans unsettled, it’s not the first time Britney has taken a break from social media. Still, her decision serves as a reminder that even pop royalty sometimes needs to log off and reset.
