Sam Asghari, who was married to the pop superstar from 2022 until their split in 2024, recently gave his candid thoughts about another of Britney’s former husbands, Kevin Federline, as Kevin prepares to release a tell-all memoir.
When approached by TMZ on Saturday (August 16), Sam didn’t hold back. “He was a professional father,” Sam told the outlet. “So it would be the first book that would tell you how to be a professional father.”
The remark was aimed squarely at Kevin, who shares two teenage sons with Britney from their marriage between 2004 and 2007. While Kevin has largely stayed out of the spotlight in recent years, he recently revealed plans for a book titled You Thought You Knew, set to arrive in October.
Kevin described the memoir as an attempt to give the public an inside look at who he really is, beyond the headlines. According to him, the book will delve into his experiences with “fame, fatherhood and the private cost of public life.”
Sam’s biting comment, however, suggests he isn’t convinced Kevin has the credibility to carry a memoir that extends beyond parenting.
For Britney, the dynamic between her exes is yet another layer to the ongoing public fascination with her personal life. While she has been focused on her independence and creative pursuits since the end of her conservatorship, the commentary around her relationships shows no sign of slowing down.
