Britney Spears is speaking out — and she’s not holding back.
Ahead of ex-husband Kevin Federline’s upcoming memoir, You Thought You Knew, the pop icon released a statement addressing the book’s controversial claims.
The 43-year-old singer’s rep told People, “With news from Kevin’s book breaking, once again he and others are profiting off her and sadly it comes after child support has ended with Kevin.”
Federline’s memoir reportedly includes shocking allegations — including that Britney once “stood silently in her kids’ room at night with a knife in her hand.” The statement made clear that Britney’s main concern isn’t the rumors, but her sons.
“All she cares about are her kids, Sean Preston and Jayden James and their well-being during this sensationalism. She detailed her journey in her memoir [The Woman in Me].”
Britney and Kevin married in 2004 and finalized their divorce in 2007. Their relationship — and its fallout — has long been a tabloid fixation.
Kevin’s book is set to release on October 21, and it’s already stirring headlines.
Britney, meanwhile, seems determined not to let the noise distract from her truth. Her own memoir, The Woman in Me, gave fans a raw, emotional look at her life, her struggles under conservatorship, and her ongoing path to healing.
And while Kevin’s book might be attempting to tell his side, Britney’s message remains clear — she’s focused on her peace, her kids, and her future.
After all, as fans know, Britney’s story has always been about resilience — and she’s still writing the next chapter on her own terms.
