Dylan Sprouse and Barbara Palvin are sharing one of the sweetest milestones of their journey to parenthood—and it’s already giving fans a glimpse of the excitement inside their growing family.
Just weeks after announcing that they’re expecting their first child together, the longtime couple revealed the baby’s sex during the premiere episode of Dylan’s brand-new podcast, Wildmen. The conversation was relaxed, playful and unmistakably them, with the pair laughing through the reveal instead of turning it into an elaborate social media event.
After teasing the moment, Barbara encouraged her husband to share the news himself.
“Do you want to share?” Barbara asked.
Dylan didn’t hesitate.
“Yeah, we’ve been calling her principessa. Which I don’t know why that’s been our like…well, it’s Italian for princess,” he said. “But no, we are having a baby girl, which I’m very excited about. I’m excited to be a girl dad, actually.”
Barbara immediately chimed in with a smile, offering a prediction about what fatherhood might look like for Dylan.
“You’re going to be so stressed about the princess,” she shared.
Their pregnancy news first broke in May, marking another major milestone for a romance that has quietly become one of Hollywood’s longest-running success stories.
Although both built international careers at a young age—Dylan through Disney Channel and Barbara as one of fashion’s most recognizable models—their relationship has unfolded at a remarkably grounded pace.
The couple first connected in 2018 after Dylan decided to make the first move online.

Speaking to W magazine in 2019, Dylan recalled reaching out after noticing she’d followed him on Instagram.
“She followed me, so I was like, I guess I’ll give her something. And I slid into her DMs. I was like, ‘Hey, I don’t know if you’re in New York for very long, but we should hang out if you want to. Here’s my number.’ And she didn’t message me for six months,” he told the publication.
Fortunately for Dylan, patience paid off.
Once Barbara finally responded, the two quickly developed a relationship that steadily grew stronger despite balancing demanding international careers. Between film sets, fashion weeks and constant travel, they found ways to prioritize each other without putting their romance under a microscope.
The couple married in 2023 during a beautiful ceremony in Barbara’s native Hungary, celebrating with family and close friends in a wedding that blended both of their cultures.
