French Montana is officially off the market.
On Wednesday (August 27), a representative for the 40-year-old “Unforgettable” rapper confirmed to TMZ that he is engaged to Sheikha Mahra Mohammed Rashed Al Maktoum, a Dubai princess.
The proposal happened in June during Paris Fashion Week, just after French made his runway debut at the 3.Paradis Ready-to-Wear Spring/Summer 2026 show. According to the rep, French popped the question then, and Sheikha Mahra said yes.
The couple’s love story has been the subject of speculation since October 2024, when Sheikha Mahra shared photos showing French touring Dubai with her. Still, they kept their relationship largely private until this summer, when they were spotted holding hands in public.
For those unfamiliar, Sheikha Mahra is the daughter of Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. She was previously married to Sheikh Mana bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum. The two wed in July 2024 but announced their split just a year later, and they share a daughter together.
French and Sheikha Mahra’s engagement marks a new chapter for both families, who are said to be “excited” about the couple’s future together.
The rapper—known for hits like “Pop That” and “No Stylist”—has kept his romantic life relatively low-key in recent years. Now, with this surprise engagement, fans are eager to see what’s next for the pair.
