Get those slushies ready—McKinley High is officially reopening its doors. Disney+ and Hulu have formally greenlit a brand-new Glee series revival produced by 20th Television, bringing the cultural phenomenon that defined 2010s television back to the small screen.

While official plot details remain tightly under wraps, high-level industry sources confirmed to Variety that original star Lea Michele is set to reprise her iconic role as the relentlessly ambitious Broadway diva Rachel Berry.

“She’s in,” an insider confirmed. “It’s still early-ish days, but it feels good and we’re happy to get the band back together.”

Original cast members are already fueling the digital hype. Actress Heather Morris, who won hearts as the delightfully unpredictable dancer Brittany S. Pierce, took to Instagram with a cheekily characteristic statement hinting at her involvement:

“Yes ladies and gentle men of women, rumors are true. Brittany S Pierce was in fact lost in the sewers for all these years. But I’m here to inform you that she is alive and well…And back for more,” Morris shared with fans.

Meanwhile, Chord Overstreet—who played fan-favorite athlete-turned-vocalist Sam Evans—sent X (formerly Twitter) into a tailspin with a short, telling update:

“Reunited and it feels so good!” Overstreet posted.

While the entertainment world eagerly awaits an official full-cast announcement from the studio, the news of Glee’s return confirms that the show’s legacy of high-energy performances, theatrical drama, and big pop harmonies is ready to inspire a whole new generation of Gleeks.
