Hilary Duff is delivering an early present to her global fanbase. Just two days after teasing the surprise release across her social channels, the 39-year-old pop icon and TV star officially dropped her brand-new Christmas EP, Holiday Things, across all digital streaming platforms. The festive five-track package marks another creative high point in her huge 2026 musical renaissance, following her critically acclaimed album luck… or something and her soundtrack contribution “CATastrophe” for The Cat in the Hat.
The new EP features three brand-new original tracks co-written by Duff, including the standout anthem “All You Want for Christmas is Me.” To round out the project, Duff went back to her roots, recording a modernized version of Wham!’s “Last Christmas”—a song she originally covered for her 2002 album Santa Claus Lane—alongside a warm, reimagined cover of the timeless classic “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.”
Coinciding with the digital drop, Duff took to Instagram to share a hilariously relatable reflection on the chaotic beauty of the winter season, admitting that her enthusiasm comes with a very specific expiration date:
“everyone who knows me knows I lovvvve and also have a complicated relationship with Christmas and the holiday season. I live for the Christmas spirit … traditions, music, decorations, sweaters, shopping, gingy bread houses and more more more … I also like it to be concentrated and back in my attic by Jan 1! So enjoy this EP,” Duff wrote to her followers, adding: “let’s listen hard, then pack it away and hit it again next year! Enjoy! Love you all”
Currently packing out arenas across Australia on The Lucky Me Tour—which was recently extended through November 2027—Duff isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
Fans stateside can look forward to seeing her perform live during select dates on iHeartRadio’s upcoming Jingle Ball Tour. Physical editions of Holiday Things, including collectible vinyl and CD formats alongside new merch lines, are currently available via her official website.
Full Lyrics to “All You Want for Christmas is Me”:
[Verse 1]
Know I get stressed out by holiday things
The small talk and people are too much to drink
I’d rather stay at home in peace
And watch Christmas Story
So you told me this year we’re going nowhere
No crowded airports, no family despair
You smiled and you said to me
Honey, don’t worry
[Chorus]
We’ll eat Thai food on the fire escape
We’ll get dressed cute, sippin’ sh*tty champagne
And we’ll dance to every Christmas cliche in the dark
We’ll play Scrabble on the living room floor
And sing carols after too many pours
Take an Advil and then fight over who loves who more
[Post-Chorus]
(This Christmas) It’s sweet
(This Christmas) How you really mean
(This Christmas) All you want for Christmas me
[Verse 2]
Toasted marshmallows on our gas oven
Early bird dinner, fall asleep by ten
The only snow angel you’ll need
Is me in our bedsheets
[Chorus]
We’ll eat Thai food on the fire escape
We’ll get dressed cute, sippin’ sh*tty champagne
And we’ll dance to every Christmas cliche in the dark
We’ll play Scrabble on the living room floor
And sing carols after too many pours
Take an Advil and then fight over who loves who more
[Post-Chorus]
(This Christmas) It’s sweet
(This Christmas) How you really mean
(This Christmas) All you want for Christmas me
[Bridge]
You put the star on my tree
Light me up strand by strand, baby
You know me
All you need, all I need
Sweet how you mean it
All you want for Christmas is
Sweet how you mean it
All you want for Christmas is
[Chorus]
Thai food on the fire escape
We’ll get dressed cute, sippin’ sh*tty champagne
And we’ll dance to every Christmas cliche in the dark
We’ll play Scrabble on the living room floor
And sing carols after too many pours (Too many pours)
Take an Advil and then fight over who loves who more
[Outro]
(This Christmas) It’s sweet
(This Christmas) How you really mean
(This Christmas) It’s sweet
(This Christmas) How you really mean
(This Christmas) It’s sweet
(This Christmas) You really mean
(This Christmas) All you want for Christmas me
