Glen Powell is finally breaking his silence on his split from model Gigi Paris, more than two years after they called it quits.
The actor, 35, dated Gigi for three years before their relationship ended in 2023, during the time he was filming Anyone But You in Australia alongside Sydney Sweeney. Their breakup sparked plenty of speculation, including rumors that Glen and Sydney were romantically involved. At the time, both denied the claims, later hinting that the buzz had been used to promote the film.
In a new interview with GQ, Glen spoke carefully about his ex. “I will always have nothing but love for her and respect for her,” he said. “Everybody’s always going to have their own narrative on things and all that. And she’s welcome to it.”
The magazine noted how deliberate he was in choosing his words, a reflection of just how personal the situation remains.
“Relationships are really hard,” Glen admitted. “And when two people break up, they each go to their own brunch and they will each tell their own narrative.”
Interestingly, Glen revealed he sought advice from his Top Gun: Maverick co-star Tom Cruise when things got overwhelming. “He basically said, ‘Hey, it’s going to get really, really loud. It’s your job to just turn the volume down. Just remember you have your hand on that switch. You have your hand on the ability to turn up that noise or turn it down.’ And really just turning down the noise and trusting your own gut has been a real godsend for me,” Glen said.
While Gigi recently gave her own in-depth take on their split, Glen’s comments suggest he prefers to keep the details private, focusing instead on respect and moving forward.
