The upcoming film James Bond film, No Time To Die, is Daniel Craig’s fifth time playing the iconic character – and also reportedly his last. And fans have been floating names around, speculating on who could be playing the super spy next – including Tom Hardy, Idris Elba, and Tom Hiddleston. And there’s a rumor going around that Harry Styles has been tapped to play 007.
Harry has reportedly met with James Bond producers to discuss the role. A source even told The Sun that “Harry is deadly serious. He has had a series of high-level meetings about becoming 007. Harry believes he is the final two.”
“Harry is a new age British man…he’s confident in his own skin and making him Bond would signal the franchise changing with the times,” the source added.
However, The Daily Mail reports that Harry won’t be replacing Daniel.
According to the outlet, Harry’s rep said the rumors that the “Fine Line” singer is the next James Bond “aren’t even remotely true.”
Harry has actually previously shared his thoughts about playing the role of the iconic British spy – he was asked about his interest in playing Bond during an interview with Britain’s Hits Radio.
“I mean, who wouldn’t?” Harry replied. “I grew up watching those. You know, I loved him when I was a kid. So I think it’s kind of everyone’s dream a little bit, right?”
ICYMI, the release date of No Time To Die has been pushed back again. It was originally scheduled to hit theaters in April 2020, but was initially pushed back to November amid the coronavirus pandemic. However, the film’s website recently announced that the 25th installment of the franchise will now be released on April 2, 2021.
According to the film’s website, “The release of No Time To Die, the 25th film in the James Bond series, will be delayed until 2 April 2021 in order to be seen by a worldwide theatrical audience. We understand the delay will be disappointing to our fans but we now look forward to sharing No Time To Die next year.”
