Looks like there’s a new celebrity couple quietly making waves—Brandon Routh and Rachael Leigh Cook have been spotted out together again, this time hand-in-hand during a casual movie night in Los Angeles on Friday, July 25.
The two 45-year-old actors didn’t exactly try to keep their evening under wraps, with photographers snapping them exiting the cinema looking relaxed and clearly comfortable in each other’s company.
This isn’t the first time Brandon and Rachael have sparked dating speculation. Eagle-eyed fans may remember back in February 2025 when HomeGrown, a popular restaurant in Des Moines, Iowa, posted a now-buzzy photo of the pair grabbing a bite together. At the time, it caused a ripple of curiosity online—but the new sighting in LA has only fueled the flames.
Both stars are no strangers to Hallmark Channel fans and holiday film fanatics. In fact, they were both scheduled to appear at Christmas Con back in late 2024 but ended up cancelling. However, People has now confirmed they’ll both be attending the event in December 2025.
Brandon and Rachael both rose to fame around the same time, cementing their status as late ‘90s and early 2000s screen icons. Brandon’s most iconic role came when he donned the cape as Superman in the 2006 film Superman Returns, and later gained a new fanbase thanks to his role as Ray Palmer/The Atom in The CW’s Arrowverse.
He was previously married to actress Courtney Ford. The couple filed for divorce in January 2025 and share a son together, born in 2012.
As for Rachael, she’s forever remembered for her roles in teen classics like She’s All That (1999) and Josie and the Pussycats (2001), and she’s become a staple in Hallmark’s cozy film roster over the years. She was married to actor Daniel Gillies from 2004 until their separation in 2019. They share two children: a daughter born in 2013 and a son born in 2015.
Neither Rachael nor Brandon has officially confirmed the relationship just yet, but fans are loving the idea of this nostalgic pairing turning into a real-life love story. Stay tuned—this Hallmark-worthy romance might just be the real deal.
