John Mayer seems to be making a request.
The 45-year-old “Free Fallin’” singer appeared to address Taylor Swift’s fans as the 33-year-old entertainer released the re-recording of her 2010 album. She dropped Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) at midnight on Friday (July 7).
The album includes the song “Dear John” which fans have long believed was written about her messy breakup with John.
On the same night that she released the album, John took to Instagram to share a message.
He posted a photo from his Thursday night show with Dead & Company in Boulder, Colo. In the photo, the lights in the sky spelled out these words:
“Please be kind.”
