Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau may have just set the internet abuzz after spending a full day together in Montreal, complete with outfit changes, scenic strolls, and a cozy dinner.
The 40-year-old “Woman’s World” singer and the 53-year-old former Canadian Prime Minister were spotted dining Monday night (July 29) at Le Violon, a popular Montreal restaurant, where TMZ caught them deep in conversation. At one point, Katy leaned in across the table as the two shared cocktails and several dishes—lobster included.
Security remained discreet throughout the dinner, stationed at the bar and monitoring the scene through mirrored glass. After their meal, the pair went into the kitchen to personally thank the chef and staff, adding to the intrigue of the evening.
A rep from the restaurant told People, “Katy and Justin seemed to have had a fantastic evening. They were super kind and friendly to the staff, and it was an absolute pleasure to have them at the restaurant.”
Photos also show Katy and Justin taking a stroll through Mount Royal Park earlier that day, joined by Katy’s dog. At one point, they were seen stopping by the Ritz-Carlton to drop the pup off and change outfits before heading to dinner—adding a bit of flair to what already looked like a very curated day.
After dinner, the two were spotted at Taverne Atlantic, enjoying drinks on the terrace. TMZ reported that Justin even had his arm “welded to Katy’s waist,” fueling further speculation.
Katy is currently in Canada as part of her Lifetimes Tour and recently became single following a decade-long relationship with actor Orlando Bloom. Meanwhile, Trudeau and his ex-wife Sophie announced their separation in 2023 after 18 years of marriage.
Though nothing has been officially confirmed about the nature of their relationship, this certainly wasn’t a casual dinner between acquaintances.
