After months of quiet speculation, Kelly Clarkson has officially confirmed that The Kelly Clarkson Show will come to an end following its seventh season.
The Emmy-winning daytime talk show, which first premiered in 2019 and quickly became a fan favorite thanks to Clarkson’s warmth, humor, and unmistakable authenticity, will air its final episodes in Fall 2026. While the announcement marks the end of an era, Clarkson made it clear that the decision was deeply personal—and not made lightly.
In a statement shared via Variety, the Grammy-winning singer reflected on her journey with the show, saying:
“I have been extremely fortunate to work with such an outstanding group of people at The Kelly Clarkson Show, both in Los Angeles and New York. There have been so many amazing moments and shows over these seven seasons. I am forever grateful and honored to have worked alongside the greatest band and crew you could hope for, all the talent and inspiring people who have shared their time and lives with us, all the fans who have supported our show and to NBC for always being such a supportive and incredible partner.”
She continued:
“Because of all of that, this was not an easy decision, but this season will be my last hosting The Kelly Clarkson Show.”
For fans who have watched Clarkson juggle music, television, and motherhood in real time, the reason behind her choice resonates. Clarkson explained that stepping away from the relentless daily production schedule will allow her to refocus on what matters most right now—her children.
“Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives,” she said.
Importantly, Clarkson emphasized that this is not a farewell from the spotlight altogether:
“This isn’t goodbye. I’ll still be making music, playing shows here and there and you may catch me on The Voice from time to time … you never know where I might show up next.”
She closed her statement with gratitude, adding:
“But for now, I want to thank y’all so much for allowing our show to be a part of your lives, and for believing in us and hanging with us for seven incredible years.”
Since its debut, The Kelly Clarkson Show has been praised for its emotional openness, viral “Kellyoke” performances, and Clarkson’s ability to connect effortlessly with guests from all walks of life. The show earned multiple Daytime Emmy Awards and carved out a distinct identity in an increasingly crowded talk-show landscape.
NBC confirmed that Clarkson will take intermittent breaks during the final season, with guest hosts stepping in at times. Those names have not yet been announced.
For Clarkson, who has always balanced pop superstardom with candid vulnerability, this next chapter feels aligned rather than abrupt. And while fans may be sad to see the show end, Clarkson’s message makes one thing clear: she’s not disappearing—she’s simply choosing herself and her family, on her own terms.
