Kim Kardashian is staying focused on her ultimate goal of becoming a licensed attorney. Attending the New York City premiere of her Hulu legal drama All’s Fair Season 2 on Monday, November 2, the 46-year-old entrepreneur and actress offered an encouraging update regarding her legal journey following her initial attempt at the California bar exam last year.
Speaking with People on the red carpet, Kardashian made it clear that while she intends to retake the exam, she is prioritizing thorough preparation over a rushed timeline:
“I am always thinking about the bar,” Kardashian shared.
“I’m going to take my time and wait until the moment is right, when I have some free time to focus on it,” she explained, noting that she has not yet set a definitive date for her next attempt.
Her commitment has earned high praise from her industry peers, including her All’s Fair co-star Sarah Paulson, who voiced complete confidence in Kardashian’s legal trajectory during the same event:
“She’s going to be a great lawyer. She will,” Paulson insisted.
Kardashian’s legal journey began publicly in 2019, inspired by her criminal justice reform advocacy and the legacy of her late father, high-profile defense attorney Robert Kardashian. Rather than attending a traditional law school, she opted for California’s Law Office Study Program—a rigorous four-year apprenticeship model requiring extensive supervised study under practicing attorneys.
After passing California’s First-Year Law Students’ Examination (commonly known as the “baby bar”) in December 2021 on her fourth attempt, Kardashian sat for the full California bar exam in July 2025. In November 2025, she shared an emotional video documenting her study process and her reaction to learning she had not passed, reaffirming her determination to finish what she started.
While balancing her business empire, criminal justice advocacy, and acting roles—including portraying a top attorney on All’s Fair, which returns for its second season on Wednesday, November 4—Kardashian continues to prove that persistence remains her strongest asset.
