Cue the Hilary Duff soundtrack — the Laguna Beach girls are back together.
Former MTV frenemies Lauren Conrad and Kristin Cavallari shocked fans over the weekend when they reunited for a rare photo op, seemingly putting two decades of reality TV rivalry behind them.
Kristin, 38, shared the photo on Instagram, posing with Lauren, 39, and captioned it cheekily: “Everyone can put away their team Lauren and team Kristin shirts now.”
The post racked up nearly half a million likes and sent the internet spiraling with nostalgia. Fans flooded the comments, writing things like “My 2004 heart is healed!” and “The Hills really have eyes — and they’re crying!”
It’s the kind of full-circle moment fans never thought they’d see — especially given the tabloid-fueled drama that followed both women long after Laguna Beach ended.
But the reunion isn’t just for the Instagram era; it’s part of something bigger. Roku recently announced a two-hour Laguna Beach reunion special celebrating the show’s 20th anniversary. Both Lauren and Kristin are confirmed to appear alongside Stephen Colletti, Lo Bosworth, and more of the original cast.
According to the official announcement, the group will “come together to reflect on the series that forever changed the landscape of television.”
And they’re not wrong. Back in the early 2000s, Laguna Beach redefined what reality TV could look like — setting the stage for The Hills, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, and basically every glossy docu-drama that followed.
Since then, both Kristin and Lauren have built empires beyond reality TV. Kristin has launched her jewelry brand Uncommon James, hosted multiple podcasts, and raised three kids, while Lauren has become a successful entrepreneur with The Little Market and a beloved lifestyle brand.
But seeing them together again hits differently. It’s not just nostalgia — it’s evolution. These women have gone from rivals edited into a love triangle to entrepreneurs and mothers with parallel success stories.
And the fans? They’re ready for the reunion. Expect tears, laughter, and possibly a throwback to that beach bonfire scene that started it all.
Two decades later, Laguna’s queens are proving that time — and maybe a little perspective — can heal even the most televised of wounds.
