Fans were left shaken when British singer-songwriter Lola Young collapsed during her set at the All Things Go Music Festival in New York City on Saturday, September 27. The 24-year-old artist was performing at Forest Hills Stadium when she suffered a sudden medical incident mid-song.
Witnesses say Lola appeared unwell during her performance of “Conceited.” According to People, she “looked flushed most of the set. Stopped midsong to communicate with her keyboardist” before falling backward, as shared by Billboard staff writer Kyle Denis on X (formerly Twitter). Security and medical staff immediately rushed to her aid and carried her offstage.
The troubling moment came just a day after Lola abruptly canceled a scheduled show in New Jersey on Friday night, citing a “sensitive matter” as the reason. Fans had been concerned but hoped she’d recovered enough to perform in New York.
Fellow performer Remi Wolf, who was also on the festival lineup, stepped onstage to address the stunned crowd shortly after Lola was taken backstage. “That was really f—ing scary. My friend Lola is backstage, and she is okay,” Remi reassured the audience, helping to calm nerves.
Hours later, Lola updated her Instagram story with a brief but comforting message: “Hi, For anyone who saw my set at all things go today , i am doing okay now. Thank you for all of your support.” Her words offered relief to worried fans who had been flooding social media with messages of concern.
Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Lola has faced health challenges while performing. Earlier this year at Coachella, she experienced a similar incident, starting to vomit and gag mid-set. Despite these setbacks, the London-born singer, known for her soulful vocals and honest songwriting, has continued to build a dedicated following and a reputation for raw, emotional performances.
