The Queen of Christmas is back—and no, it’s not holiday season just yet. Mariah Carey has officially announced her upcoming 16th studio album, and it’s called Here For It All. Slated to drop on September 26 via Gamma, this new body of work already has fans counting down the days.

Mariah kicked off her album rollout in June with the bold and breezy single “Type Dangerous,” which was co-written and co-produced with the ever-innovative Anderson .Paak. Rumor has it, .Paak is playing a much bigger role this time—he’s said to be executive producing the entire album. The “Type Dangerous” music video also featured a surprising cameo from YouTube megastar Mr. Beast, a modern twist that only Mariah could pull off so effortlessly.

The album promises a fresh direction, while still giving fans those signature Mariah vocals. She’s already teased another track titled “Sugar Sweet,” though little else is known about the album’s full tracklist. One thing’s certain: she’s pouring her heart into it.

“I’ve written some new songs. You know, I’m excited about it. I have to figure out which songs I’m going to do and which songs I’m not going to do. But I think I’m very excited about it,” she told Variety in a recent interview.

Here For It All will be Carey’s first studio release since 2018’s critically acclaimed Caution. In that time, she’s transitioned to Gamma, an independent label launched in 2023 by industry titans L.A. Reid and Larry Jackson. The move signals a fresh chapter for Mariah—a balance between creative freedom and legacy refinement.

With more than three decades in the music industry, Mariah continues to redefine what longevity looks like in pop. This album doesn’t just mark another addition to her extensive discography—it’s a moment that celebrates where she’s been and where she’s going.
