Meghan Trainor and Daryl Sabara are celebrating a major milestone — and doing so with honesty, gratitude, and heart.
The couple announced the arrival of their third child, a baby girl named Mikey Moon Trainor, whom they welcomed via surrogate over the weekend. Meghan, 32, and Daryl, 33, shared the news in a joint Instagram post that immediately resonated with fans.
“Jan 18th 2026,” Meghan wrote. “Our baby girl Mikey Moon Trainor has finally made it to the world thanks to our incredible, superwoman surrogate. We are forever grateful to all the doctors, nurses, teams who made this dream possible.”
The singer continued with a message that highlighted the thoughtful medical and emotional considerations behind their decision. “We had endless conversations with our doctors in this journey and this was the safest way for us to be able to continue growing our family,” she explained. “We are over the moon in love with this precious girl.”
Meghan also shared that their two sons — Riley, 4, and Barry, 2 — were deeply involved in the process. “Riley and Barry have been so excited, they even got to choose her middle name,” she wrote. “We are going to enjoy our family time now, love you all🩷🥹🎀”
In a statement to People, Meghan spoke candidly about surrogacy and why it matters to normalize conversations around it.
“We are forever grateful for that option,” she said. “I want people to know that surrogacy is just another beautiful way to build a family. It’s not something to whisper about or judge. It’s rooted in trust, science, love, and teamwork. Every family’s journey looks different, and all of them are extremely valid.”
She also praised their surrogate directly, emphasizing the emotional connection they shared throughout the process. “Our surrogate is one of the most selfless, strong and loving people I’ve ever met,” Meghan said. “We felt so connected throughout the entire journey, and I’ll always be grateful for the care and love she showed our daughter.”
“She graciously answered our many check-in texts to make sure she was doing okay,” Meghan added. “She gave us the greatest gift of our lives.”
Meghan carried both Riley and Barry herself, making this experience different — but no less meaningful. Her transparency continues a pattern fans have come to appreciate: she doesn’t shy away from discussing real-life challenges, from health issues to motherhood to redefining what family can look like.
As Meghan and Daryl step into life as parents of three, their message is clear — love is what defines a family, and there’s more than one way to build one.
