Miranda Kerr is speaking out about the recent breakup between her ex-husband Orlando Bloom and pop superstar Katy Perry.

The 42-year-old Australian model, who shares a 14-year-old son, Flynn, with Orlando, gave her take on the split during an appearance on The Kyle & Jackie O Show. Orlando and Miranda were married from 2010 to 2013 before moving on to new relationships. Orlando later started dating Katy in 2016, got engaged in 2019, and welcomed their daughter Daisy in 2020. Their separation became public in June of this year.

Despite the breakup, Miranda says the family unit remains strong. “I actually just saw them both on the weekend. We were celebrating Daisy’s birthday,” she revealed. “We’re one big, happy family.”

She also praised Katy directly, saying: “Katy is amazing, I love her. And Orlando obviously.”

For Miranda, keeping things positive is essential, especially with children involved. “Like, the needs of the child always has to come first,” she explained. “And it needs to be harmonious. And you know what? They’re going to be in your life for the rest of your life. Because they have a child together, so you just be peaceful, I mean, in my opinion.”

The interview highlighted just how well Miranda, Orlando, and Katy have managed to maintain a blended family dynamic—something not every celebrity ex-couple can pull off. Her comments show a level of maturity and compassion that many fans admired.

Since their split, Miranda has gone on to marry Snapchat co-founder Evan Spiegel, with whom she shares three children. But her connection with Orlando remains important, as they continue to co-parent Flynn.
