Nicki Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty has officially been sentenced.
During a hearing this week in Los Angeles, Kenneth was sentenced to probation and in-home detention, following multiple postponements of his sentence hearing. He was also ordered to pay a fine of $55,000.
Back in September, he pleaded guilty for failing to register as a sex offender and was facing imprisonment of 10 years for it.
Kenneth was convicted in 1995 for attempting to rape a girl aged 16. He spent over four years in prison.
In New York, he is registered as a level two offender. Level two offender means he is considered a “moderate risk of repeat offense.” He failed to register as a sex offender when he moved to California and was arrested for that in March 2020. He pleaded not guilty at the time and posted bail of $100,000.
