Hollywood royalty has officially entered the TikTok ecosystem! The 59-year-old Oscar winner Nicole Kidman made her highly anticipated debut on the platform, proving that iconic status translates seamlessly across generations and media.
For her inaugural post, Kidman shared a chic behind-the-scenes video of herself attending the premiere of Practical Magic 2 in London. What caught the internet’s immediate attention, however, was her choice of background audio: rising music star Adéla’s trending anthem, “Ain’t in LA.”
The audio selection is a clever nod to current internet culture and a direct hat-tip to the 22-year-old singer. Adéla—who currently stands as Chartmetric’s fastest-growing artist worldwide after breaking into Spotify’s Global Top 50—dedicated an entire track to the actress on her debut album PRIMA (dropping September 4). Fittingly titled “Nicole Kidman,” the song serves as Track 2 on the highly anticipated project.
The mutual admiration society doesn’t end on social media. Viral footage captured on the red carpet at the London premiere features Nicole confirming that she is well aware of the viral singer and plans to support her live.
“I absolutely know who she is and she’s coming to Nashville, and I’m going to go see her,” Nicole said.
The unexpected nod from the Hollywood superstar left the young artist completely starstruck. Adéla couldn’t contain her excitement in the video’s comment section:
“WOW OH MY GOD NICOLE WOW OH MY GOD HOLY SH– WOW,” Adéla responded in a comment.
With Kidman officially on board, TikTok has gained a true cinema icon—and Adéla just earned the ultimate celebrity co-sign.
