After sparking romance speculations for weeks, it seems Nina Dobrev and Shaun White are ready to let the world know!
Rumors of a budding romance started swirling around Nina and Shaun back in March when the pair was spotted out on a bike ride together in Malibu, California. They even brought Nina’s furbaby, Maverick, with them – and Shaun was holding her the whole time.
At the time, a source told E! that it wasn’t the first time the pair have hung out but nothing was official.
But on Thursday (May 28), Nina and Shaun posted their very first picture together on Instagram. And it’s uber cute, too – Nina gave Shaun a quarantine haircut!
“Adding to resume: hairdresser ✂️,” Nina captioned a before and after of their hairstyling adventure.
“My hairstylist said he wouldn’t, so she did 😨✂️ #QuarantineCuts,” Shaun wrote on his post.
However, it’s not actually the first time Shaun appeared on Nina’s Instagram. He sort of made a low-key cameo in Nina’s hilarious video about washing groceries – well, his hands did.
According to E!, these two have been low-key “easing into a relationship” since the New Year. But when stay-at-home orders went into effect, that’s when things “really accelerated.”
“After spending weeks together during quarantine, Nina and Shaun have made it clear to their friends that they are a serious couple,” the source said.
And going Instagram official is a huge step for Nina – and likely gives a major clue just how much they’re into each other.
“Nina doesn’t take sharing her personal life very lightly, but it shows how happy and secure she is with Shaun and their relationship that she is willing to take this step,” the insider explains.
Although Shaun isn’t exactly in the entertainment industry, he most definitely in the spotlight. For those unfamiliar, Shaun is three-time Olympic gold medalist and actually holds the records for most number of X-Games gold medals and Olympic gold medals by a snowboarder.
A source previously told People that their relationship “makes a lot of sense.”
“Their friends were surprised at first about the relationship but now that they’ve seen them together it actually makes a lot of sense,” the source told the outlet.
“They’re both goofy and have a similar sense of humor and are super adventurous. They have plenty in common,” the source added.
