Fresh off the release of her emotional new track, “you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love,” Olivia Rodrigo is already looking ahead to her next major project—and this one extends far beyond music.

The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter has officially announced Daisy Chain Fields, a new music festival centered on celebrating women, community, creativity, and activism. Unveiled on June 22, the event marks Rodrigo’s latest effort to use her platform to champion causes she cares deeply about while bringing together an impressive lineup of female artists across generations and genres.

In a statement announcing the festival, Rodrigo explained the vision behind the event.

“Daisy Chain Fields is a music festival founded on the belief that joy, community, and creativity can inspire meaningful change,” the artist said in a press release. “It affirms that music and collective experience can serve as enduring drivers of progress and social change. It’s a place where inspiration and curiosity lead to knowledge, strength, and action.”

She continued: “Daisies are wild and beautiful. As a chain, they are strong and unbreakable.”

The announcement immediately sparked excitement among fans, particularly because of its ambitious all-women lineup and commitment to supporting nonprofit organizations focused on issues impacting women and families.

When Is Daisy Chain Fields?

The inaugural Daisy Chain Fields festival will take place on August 29 at Great Park in Irvine, California.

Unlike many multi-day music events, Rodrigo’s festival is designed as a one-day experience packed with performances, community programming, educational opportunities, and interactive experiences. The event is being produced by C3 Presents and Live Nation, two of the biggest names in live entertainment.

Who’s Performing?

Rodrigo has assembled an impressive roster of artists spanning multiple generations and musical styles.

The festival’s two stages will feature performances from Rodrigo herself alongside KATSEYE, Chappell Roan, Doechii, Bikini Kill, Die Spitz, Eli, Garbage, Mitski, Not For Radio, Quiet Light, Rachel Chinouriri, Santigold, and The Breeders.

Several legendary artists will also make special guest appearances, including Karen O, Sarah McLachlan, and Stevie Nicks.

The lineup reflects Rodrigo’s own musical influences while highlighting both emerging voices and established icons. From alternative rock pioneers to contemporary pop stars and indie favorites, the festival aims to showcase the breadth of women’s contributions to music.

More Than Just a Music Festival

While the performances are expected to be a major draw, Daisy Chain Fields is also positioning itself as a space for education, advocacy, and community engagement.

Rodrigo confirmed that attendees will have access to a variety of experiences beyond the concert stages.

“Beyond the music, Daisy Chain Fields will feature nonprofit activations, educational resources, community art experiences, local vendors, fan pop-ups, and immersive installations designed to foster connection and engagement. Festival attendees will have opportunities to learn about and support organizations working across reproductive rights, maternal health, economic empowerment, domestic violence prevention, and gender equity.”

The festival’s mission reflects a growing trend among artists who are using large-scale events to encourage civic participation and awareness around social issues.

Ticket Information

Fans eager to attend won’t have to wait long to secure their spots.

Presale access begins on June 24 at 10 a.m. PT. Interested attendees can register through the festival’s official website to receive a presale code via SMS or email.

General admission tickets start at $250, while premium experiences are available through VIP and pit packages priced up to $1,250.

As with many high-demand music events, tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis while inventory remains available.

Supporting Important Causes

Perhaps the most significant aspect of Daisy Chain Fields is where the money will go.

According to Rodrigo, all net proceeds from the festival will support nonprofit organizations dedicated to advancing women’s health, rights, safety, and economic opportunity.

Beneficiaries include Baby2Baby, Black Mamas Matter Alliance, Center for Reproductive Rights, FreeFrom, Jhpiego, Johns Hopkins Center for Indigenous Health, National Domestic Workers Alliance, National Institute for Reproductive Health, National Women’s Law Center, and Planned Parenthood.

For Rodrigo, Daisy Chain Fields appears to be more than a concert—it’s an effort to build a community rooted in music, activism, and collective action. With a star-studded lineup and a mission-driven foundation, the festival is already shaping up to be one of the most talked-about live events of the summer.
