The Royal Family continues to grow!

Princess Eugenie and husband Jack Brooksbank recently welcomed their first child together – a baby boy!

Buckingham Palace confirmed the happy news in a statement:

“Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie was safely delivered of a son today, 9th February 2021, at 0855hrs at The Portland Hospital. Jack Brooksbank was present.

The baby weighs 8lbs 1oz.

The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Duke of York, Sarah, Duchess of York, and Mr. and Mrs. George Brooksbank have been informed and are delighted with the news.”

While the couple hasn’t revealed the name of their little bundle of joy, Princess Eugenie shared a sweet black and white photo of the two of them holding their baby’s adorable tiny hand on Instagram, simply captioned with three blue heart emojis.

The newest addition to the Windsor family is Prince Andrew and Fergie’s first grandchild and the ninth great-grandchild for Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip.

Princess Eugenie is Prince Andrew and Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson, a.k.a. the Duke and Duchess of York’s, youngest child – meaning, she’s Prince William and Prince Harry’s first cousin. And, according to royal biographers Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, Prince Harry and Princess Eugenie are uber close.

Per Hello! Magazine, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have already sent their congratulations to the new parents – although, apparently, it was all done privately because the Duke and Duchess of Sussex aren’t on social media.

Congrats to the proud parents!
