Selena Gomez is opening up about her displeasure at the cover photo for a previous album of hers.
The 29-year-old star has released a total of seven albums — three as Selena Gomez & The Scene, one greatest hits album under Hollywood Records, and three as a solo artist on her second label Interscope.
But in a THR comedy actress roundtable discussion, Selena revealed that she actually felt ashamed about one of her album covers. She shared:
“I actually did an album cover and I was really ashamed after I did it.
I had to work through those feelings because I realized it was attached to something deeper that was going on. And it was a choice that I wasn’t necessarily happy that I made, but I think that I’ve done my best, at least I try to be myself.”
She elaborated further, stating:
“I’m not an overly sexual person.
Sometime I like to feel sexy but that doesn’t mean it’s for somebody else. It can be for me.”
