Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco are clearly comfortable enough with each other to laugh off the internet’s latest viral moment, even if it involves feet.
The music producer recently found himself trending online after viewers noticed what appeared to be very dirty feet during the debut episode of his podcast Friends Keep Secrets Podcast.
While filming barefoot for the show, the 37-year-old producer unintentionally gave the internet something unexpected to talk about: the bottoms of his feet.
Naturally, social media had thoughts.
But the conversation took an even more surprising turn during episode two of the podcast, when Selena aka Benny’s wife stopped by the studio to join the group.
During the recording, Selena playfully leaned over and kissed her husband’s toes, instantly creating another viral moment.
Benny reacted by turning toward co-host Lil Dicky (whose real name is Dave Burd) and joking: “You like that?”
Selena quickly tried to shut down the moment before it spiraled further.
“Oh, don’t make it a moment.”
Benny, however, had no complaints.
“Oh, no. I wasn’t. I liked it. It made me feel good. I love you so much.”
The toe-kissing moment only added fuel to the internet’s ongoing fascination with Benny’s feet, something he later addressed while appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! alongside Lil Dicky.
Host Jimmy Kimmel wasted no time bringing up the viral conversation.
“Dave and Benny are here, and I neglected something important because there is something that turned up as people were watching your multimedia experience,” Jimmy started. “People seem to be fascinated with the idea that Benny’s feet are very dirty.”
Lil Dicky jumped in with a laugh.
“I noticed that too, Jimmy,” he added.
Benny immediately offered his defense and placed the blame squarely on the filming location.
“First of all, it’s the facility’s fault,” he declared. “It’s not mine.”
The “facility,” he explained, was actually Lil Dicky’s house, where the podcast had been filmed.
To prove his point, Benny took things one step further.
“I have great feet,” he added as he took off a sock to show off his clean foot. “Someone zoom in on my foot.”
“Look at that clean foot,” Benny continued. “Look at that! Are you kidding me?”
Jimmy couldn’t resist poking fun at the situation.
“You should get an OnlyFans for that thing, I mean… It’s beautiful,” he joked.
Lil Dicky also backed up Benny’s explanation, saying the floor may have simply been dirty during the first day of filming.
“It was the first day we filmed anything, so crew was coming in and out,” he said, adding that the floor “probably was a little bit” dirty.
Jimmy then pressed the issue.
“So, you’re saying that Dave’s floors are not clean?”
Both Benny and Lil Dicky agreed that was the reason, though Dave clarified it wasn’t a permanent problem.
“On that day,” he explained.
“On a few of the days it’s been dirty,” Benny added as Jimmy joked that he didn’t mean to “drive a wedge” between the longtime friends.
