Shawn Mendes is back where he belongs — on stage, guitar in hand, in front of thousands of screaming fans.
The 27-year-old singer kicked off the North American leg of his On The Road Again Tour at TD Garden in Boston on September 25, delivering a set packed with both classics and new tracks.
This stretch of shows will take Shawn across major cities including Toronto, Montréal, New York, Chicago, Vancouver, and San Francisco, before wrapping October 17 at the iconic Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. Eddie Benjamin is joining as opener for the run.
Fresh off the European leg of the tour, which wrapped in August, Shawn seemed re-energized and grateful to be back performing in the U.S. “I feel like time away has allowed me to come back and recognize and remember how unbelievably special it is to get to play live shows,” Shawn told fans. “It’s an honour and I’m just beyond grateful that you guys keep showing up after 10 years with so much love.”
Fans at opening night were treated to a career-spanning lineup, from early hits like “Stitches” and “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back” to newer tracks including “Heavy” and “Heart of Gold.” The night also featured fan-favorite duets like “Señorita,” plus emotional standouts like “Mercy” and “Never Be Alone.” He closed the show with the powerful “In My Blood,” leaving the crowd on an electrifying high.
Tickets for the tour sold out quickly, but fans can still find resale options through StubHub and Vivid Seats. Judging by opening night, this is one run worth chasing.
