Storm Reid is adding another title to her growing résumé: recording artist.

The actress, best known for her standout work in projects like Euphoria and The Last of Us, has officially stepped into the music world with the release of her debut single, “Clean Sweep.”

The track arrived on June 5 and marks a major new chapter for the 22-year-old star, who has spent much of the past decade building an impressive acting career. Released through her independent label, 1720 Music, the song was produced by Truebeatzz, 88JAY and 96 Melz.

For Reid, the release represents more than simply experimenting with a different creative outlet. It’s the realization of a dream she’s been carrying for years.

“I have always had an affinity for music from an early age. This moment means many things, but the most important thing is that I made an active decision to chase my wildest dreams,” Storm shared in a statement. “The process of making this song allowed me to break from expectations of what I thought people would want from me. I’m excited to continue to concentrate on making the best music I can and having fun doing it.”

The statement offers a glimpse into the mindset behind the project. Rather than focusing on outside expectations, Reid appears determined to explore music on her own terms, embracing creativity without feeling confined by the image audiences may already have of her as an actress.

Leading up to the song’s release, Reid had been quietly teasing fans online. In one post that quickly caught attention, she shared footage from the recording studio while making a playful reference to her Euphoria character, Gia Bennett.

“sorry rue I’m busy in the stu,” she wrote with the clip.

Reid is not involved in Euphoria’s third season, making her pivot toward music all the more notable.

Still, music is only one piece of an increasingly busy career.

On the acting side, Reid recently appeared in the Netflix film Roommates, continuing to build a body of work that spans prestige television, blockbuster films, and streaming projects.

She also has several high-profile projects on the horizon.

Among them is Get Lite, the directorial debut from singer, actress, and creative powerhouse Teyana Taylor. Reid is set not only to star in the film but also serve as an executive producer, marking another important milestone in her career as she expands into producing.

Additionally, she is attached to the upcoming film Hot Year, where she will appear alongside a cast that includes Kathryn Newton, Dove Cameron, and several other rising stars.

The move into music comes at a time when many young performers are increasingly embracing multi-hyphenate careers. For Reid, however, the transition feels less like a pivot and more like an expansion of the creative interests she has always had.

If “Clean Sweep” is any indication, she appears eager to show audiences a side of herself they haven’t fully seen before.
