Taryn Manning is addressing a series of viral videos that have sparked widespread conversation—and concern—online.
The Orange Is the New Black actress took to Instagram on Tuesday (March 31) to share her side of the story following the circulation of footage that appears to show a heated altercation between her and Holly Hartman. In her response, Manning firmly denied that the two are romantically involved, while also providing additional context around the situation.
“It’s all just a shame. ❤️ @tmz_tv it would be rad to post the real story,” she wrote in the first video, along with, “Girlfriend? Ha NOPE.”
The video in question, reportedly filmed in Palm Springs and obtained by TMZ, shows Manning yelling and appearing visibly distressed. At one point, she can be heard saying, “Look what you’ve done to my f–king studio!” as Hartman records the exchange.
When Manning threatens to call the police, Hartman responds, “Call the police. I’ll show them you just attacked me!”
The footage escalates further, with Manning seen kicking a bag in Hartman’s direction before lunging toward her as the video cuts off.
In her Instagram response, Manning acknowledged the seriousness of what viewers saw, while emphasizing that the situation lacked context.
“I guess some stuff came out today on TMZ about me and I don’t want to watch it because I don’t want to upset myself.”
“I know that violence is never, ever, ever OK. And there’s a lot of context to that story that, obviously, didn’t make it.”
Manning went on to make a series of allegations against Hartman, including claims of property damage and ongoing conflict.
“It is the most aggressive and violent attack, and she’s living in my office because she’s homeless,” Taryn says.
She also addressed speculation about their relationship, reiterating that Hartman is not her girlfriend and describing their connection as long-standing but complicated.
“All over the world, I look like this one-sided violent person. It’s just sad because I’m frustrated with her, like, I don’t know, she’s not my family, she’s not my girlfriend, not my wife, why do I have to house this random girl that I befriended 18 years ago? It’s too much,” Taryn continued in another video.
The actress further alleged that Hartman has threatened her reputation and legal standing.
She also accuses Holly of being “crazy,” “weird,” and trying to distract from her own crimes.
“Keep trying to distract me from all your crimes. Here we go. This sucks and it’s bad .just go away. Weird people. God bless. Move on,” Taryn wrote in another caption.
The situation is further complicated by the pair’s history, which includes past legal disputes and alleged altercations dating back years.
As of now, no new legal action has been confirmed, and Hartman has not publicly responded to Manning’s latest statements.
