Two actors were killed and six production members injured during a terrible car crash on the set of the Netflix show The Chosen One in Mexico.
The Baja California Department Of Culture revealed that the two actors who perished in the crash were Raymundo Garduno Cruz and Juan Francisco Gonzalez Aguilar.
Multiple reports stated that the crash happened on Thursday (June 17) as the actors and crew were traveling new Mulege on the Baja California Sur peninsula. At this time, it is still unclear as to what led to the crash, but reports are saying that the van they were in flipped over after it ran off the road in a deserted area.
The Chosen One is based on the comic book series American Jesus by Mark Millar and Peter Gross. Mark Millar also created the comic books Kingsman, Jupiter’s Legacy, and Kick-Ass.
The series began filming in April. It is still unclear how this tragedy will affect production.
