Viola Davis is now among the very few entertainers of our time who have achieved EGOT status.
On Sunday (February 5), the 57-year-old actress won Best Audio Book, Narration & Storytelling Recording for her memoir titled Finding Me at the Grammy Awards. As she became a Grammy winner, her status as an EGOT winner was cemented.
Viola had previously won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for Fences in 2017. She won the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for How To Get Away With Murder in 2015. She won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play for King Hedley II in 2001 and Best leading Actress in a play for Fences in 2010.
The multi-talented star is only the 18th person to achieve this highly-coveted status. She is the third Black woman to become an EGOT winner, joining Whoopie Goldberg and Jennifer Hudson.
