In October 2020, Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost said “I do” in front of family and close friends. The couple pretty much kept their nuptials low-key, only announcing that they had become husband and wife on social media afterwards via Meals On Wheels’ verified Instagram account.

And, apparently, planning a wedding in the middle of a pandemic, before COVID-19 vaccines were available, was “a little stressful,” according to ScarJo.

The Black Widow actress went on Late Night With Seth Myers on Monday (July 12) to reveal details about their wedding.

Their guest list included some elderly family members, which made them want to “take every precaution that we could.”

It even led to a uniquely pandemic-era party favor from the wedding – customized face masks.

“We had the masks made that [said] ‘Josts 2020’ and everybody had to get tested 100,000 times,” she shared with host Seth Myers. “It definitely was a weird party favor that could only happen now. But you just got to go with it.”

While their big day was significantly scaled down, they were definitely feeling the love from all who were part of it.

“Even though it was small and intimate, it was beautiful, and we were so happy to see people that we hadn’t seen in such a long time,” she continued. “We just felt very fortunate to be able to get together like that. It felt like it was sort of how it was supposed to be.”

But one thing Scarlett wasn’t so thrilled about is the wedding gift they got from Colin’s Saturday Night Live co-star and “Weekend Update” co-anchor Michael Che, whose humor apparently extends well beyond the screen.

“This whole thing between them with the gifts — it’s hilarious for them and then I get left with this giant junk I can’t get rid of because it’s, like, personalized,” an exasperated ScarJo said.

“It’s basically free swag that he didn’t want in his office or in his home and he just ships us his crap and then I have to figure out what to do with it,” she explained, adding, “I hate it. I hate both of them right now. It’s like, what next?”

Scarlett’s interview comes amid reports that she is pregnant with her and Colin’s first child together – she’s also mom to six-year-old daughter Rose, whom she shares with ex-husband Romain Duriac.

“Scarlett is actually due soon, I know she and Colin are thrilled,” a source told Page Six.

Another source added the actress has been “keeping it very quiet,” noting that, “She has been keeping a very low profile.”

Pregnancy rumors have been swirling around Scarlett since June. While the actress didn’t address the baby speculations, her remote appearance on the show was notably shot from the shoulders up.
