Selena Gomez just shared a quick update with her followers – and fans will be happy to know that we’ll be seeing more of her in the days to come.

The 28-year-old singer posted a video on Instagram Wednesday (July 29) to catch fans up on what she’s been up to as of late – and also explain why she hasn’t been posting as much.

“Hey! I wanted to take some time to do a quick message for you guys because I haven’t been posting that much. I just wanted to let you know that I love you guys and I miss you and there’s so many exciting things coming up that I can’t wait to share with all of you,” Selena shared in the video. “I just think at the beginning of this year, with everything going on, it felt a little insensitive to post things that may be a little just… joyful or celebratory, it was really hard for me.”

“And, I’ve taken the time to learn, truly learn about what’s going on and I continue to make that my priority,” she continued. “But, just letting you know that I’m going to be a little bit more involved and I’m just sending more love and gonna show you some more of my personal stuff and what I have been doing. But, thank you for being here, and thank you for supporting me always and I will talk to you soon.”

Selena hasn’t really taken a break from social media – on several occasions, she’s used her platform to support causes like raising funds for COVID-19 relief and the Black Lives Matters movement. But fans have also been eagerly awaiting updates about what she’s been doing these days.

She previously shared that she’s been learning to cook during quarantine – and HBO has announced that Selena’s coming out with her very own cooking show. More recently, there’s been rumors that she collaborated with the K-Pop group BLACKPINK on a new single – but BLACKPINK‘s management, YG Entertainment, has released a statement saying, “It is difficult to confirm that BLACKPINK and Selena Gomez will collaborate. Please wait until we officially reveal the featured artist.”

Cole Sprouse is back on the ‘gram after taking “a much needed mental health break.”

The Riverdale star ended his more-than-a-month-long social media hiatus by sharing a black and white photo at the NEST Tulum in Mexico on Instagram.

“I’ve never been the most active user of social media, but even the minor amount I had been engaging during quarantine had become a bit too taxing,” Cole explained. “Work is slowly beginning to pick back up within a new normal. And as someone who has only ever really known work their entire life, I found that I’m best on a schedule.”

“Knowing when to step away like I did in college, and when to re-engage is a fundamental skill for any young performer,” he continued, and advised fans, “Take your breaks. Mental and physical health always come first.”

“In time we’ll all be able to see more clearly what this pandemic actually is- a massive global trauma,” he went on, later promising that he would be “more active soon.”

Cole’s last post on social media was on June 26. Days prior, he and several of his Riverdale co-stars, including Vanessa Morgan, Lili Reinhart and KJ Apa, were accused of sexual assault by anonymous Twitter accounts – they have denied the allegations.

A screenshot of one of the accounts that made the accusations shows a tweet that read, in part, “Do you see how easy it is to lie and you guys will believe it?” The account has since been suspended by Twitter.

Cole spoke out against the allegations in a series of tweets. “Earlier today myself and three other cast mates were falsely accused of sexual offense by anonymous accounts on twitter,” he wrote. “I take these accusations very seriously, and will be working with the right teams to get to the root of it.”

“False accusations do tremendous damage to victims of actual assault. Furthermore, I would never seek to silence anybody. I encourage that people look into the accusations themselves, as the events detailed were factually untrue,” he continued, concluding, “This seems to be the latest claim in a series of incidents seeking to baselessly cancel my cast mates and me.”
