Selena Gomez is responding to criticisms about her body.

The 30-year-old Only Murders In The Building star has been experiencing body shaming from trolls ever since her appearance a the 2023 Golden Globes early this year. That same day, she took to social media to laugh off all the hateful comments about her body.

Now, she has taken to social media once again, this time to share a more in-depth reaction to what she has been going through.

On Thursday (February 16), Selena went live on TikTok to speak candidly about how Lupus has been affecting her body. She explained how she would “hold a lot of water weight” when she is on her medication for Lupus, adding:

“When I’m off of it, I tend to kind of lose weight.”

She declared:

“So, yeah, not a model, never will be. And I think they’re awesome, mind you. I just, I’m definitely not that.”

Selena also took this as an opportunity to stress how important self love is to her fans and followers, stating:

“I just wanted to say and encourage anyone out there who feels any sort of shame for exactly what they’re going through and nobody knows the real story. I just want people to know that you’re beautiful and you’re wonderful.

And yeah, we have days where maybe we feel like s-it. But I would much rather be healthy and take care of myself. My medications are important, and I believe they are what helps me.”

She shared love to all her fans, and had this to say to the haters:

“Go away.

Cause honestly, I don’t believe in shaming people for their body or anything.”
