Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello reportedly went through a scary experience in their home over the weekend.
According to TMZ, the home they share in California was reportedly broken into by burglars on Sunday (March 28). Even scarier is that they were both home when it happened!
Law enforcement sources told the outlet that the burglars allegedly entered through one of the windows. However, when they realized that the couple was home, they made a quick exit. The perps were still able to steal something though – Shawn’s Mercedes G-Class SUV, which allegedly became their getaway vehicle.
Luckily, Shawn and Camila weren’t harmed. Per TMZ, the police were called, but by the time they arrived at the singers’ home, the perps were gone. So far, the LAPD is still investigating and no arrests have been made.
Fans have been showering the couple with messages of support following the incident.
“It’s been reported that Shawn and Camila’s house was broken into while they were home, but the suspect(s) left quickly with just car keys. No confirmation yet from them personally, but we hope you two are holding up okay after such a scary situation @shawnmendes @camila_cabello [sic],” one fan tweeted.
“I truly don’t give af if you don’t like shawn and/or camila, but please be aware and respect how scary that day must have been for them. a car is replaceable, it could have been a lot worse. i’m incredibly glad they both are now safe and physically unharmed [sic],” another wrote.
“Hoping Shawn and Camila recover from this situation today [heart emoji] my heart is with them today and always,” a fan shared.
Shawn and Camila haven’t publicly commented on the reports.
