Hollywood is mourning the loss of legendary TV and radio host Larry King. He was 87.

His company, Ora Media, announced the sad news of his passing with a statement on Twitter:

“For 63 years and across the platforms of radio, television and digital media, Larry’s many thousands of interviews, awards and global acclaim stand as a testament to his unique and lasting talent as a broadcaster. Additionally, while it was his name appearing in the shows’ titles, Larry always viewed his interview subjects as the true stars of his programs, and himself as merely an unbiased conduit between the guest and audience.”

“Funeral arrangement and a memorial service will be announced later in coordination with the King family, who ask for their privacy at this time.”

Larry’s three sons, Larry King Jr., Chance King, and Cannon King also issued a joint statement on their father’s passing.

“We are heartbroken over our father’s death, and together with our extended family mourn his passing,” they wrote.

No cause of death was given, however, Larry has battled heart disease for over 30 years and was hospitalized for COVID-19 earlier this month.
