Taylor Lautner is candidly sharing his thoughts on the impending release of Taylor Swift’s Speak Now (Taylor’s Version).

The Twilight actor and the Eras Tour superstar had a brief romance back in 2009. Many fans believe that a song in Speak Now was written about him.

It is widely believed that Swift’s hit single “Back To December” is in fact a song that she wrote about Lautner.

As Swift announced that Speak Now would be the next album to be getting a Taylor’s Version re-release, many are wondering if he is concerned about the renewed interest in their relationship that the album may spark.

Now, in an interview with TODAY.com, Lautner let us all in on how he’s doing and how he’s feeling amid the upcoming album. He had good things to say about Swift’s Speak Now, adorably saying:

“I think it’s a great album.”

He shared that he wasn’t worried or concerned for himself:

“Yeah, I feel safe.”

And then he hilariously added this about another famous ex of Swift’s:

“Praying for John.”

People think this is a reference to John Mayer, who is believed to have inspired Swift’s dsong “Dear John.”

While “Back To December” is a song in which Swift issues an apology to her ex, “Dear John” is much much more pointed.

Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) drops July 7.
