On Monday (April 17), Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens made headlines for something that eagle-eyed fans spotted on social media.
In case you didn’t know, the High School Musical co-stars, who played Troy Bolton and Gabriella Montez in the massive Disney films, were together for four years in the early 2000s. They were the IT couple on the Young Hollywood scene.
The two broke up in 2010, and Vanessa is now engaged to her MLB player beau, Cole Tucker.
Now, it seems Zac has decided to follow Vanessa on Instagram! He hit the follow button, and fans have the screen grabs to prove this new development. Fans all over were hit with a wave of nostalgia at this start of something new.
So far, Vanessa has not yet followed Zac back on the platform. But this new development has certainly gotten everyone excited — and manifesting for a potential Troy and Gabriella reunion on High School Musical: The Musical: The Series!
The former couple raised eyebrows back in 2022 when they both shared photos from their individual visits to High School Musical’s East High, posting them about a month apart.
