Another famous last name is heading to the big screen.
Apple Martin — the daughter of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin — is officially making her feature film debut, stepping into Hollywood with a project that already has serious star power attached.
News broke on Monday (May 18) that the 22-year-old will join the cast of filmmaker Nancy Meyers’ upcoming movie, according to Deadline. Additional casting announcements also revealed that Tony Hale and Beverly D’Angelo are joining the ensemble.
While details surrounding the film remain tightly under wraps, the project is already generating attention thanks to both its cast and the creative force behind it.
Nancy Meyers doesn’t exactly make ordinary movies.
Over the years, the filmmaker has become synonymous with sophisticated crowd-pleasers that blend romance, comedy, family dynamics, and aspirational lifestyles into endlessly rewatchable films. Titles including The Parent Trap, Something’s Gotta Give, The Holiday, and It’s Complicated have helped define her signature style.
This latest project appears to continue that tradition while also offering audiences a behind-the-scenes look at filmmaking itself.
Previously, Meyers described the story as being about “a group of people making a film and the magic and mystery of what we do.”
Beyond that, however, audiences still know very little.
No plot description has been released, and character details remain under wraps.
But if the cast list is any indication, the mystery is only adding to the excitement.
The film already features a lineup that reads like an awards-season seating chart: Penelope Cruz, Kieran Culkin, Erin Doherty, Jude Law, and Owen Wilson are all attached to star.
Now Apple Martin joins that lineup — and naturally, people are curious.
Although she grew up with two globally recognizable parents, Apple has largely stayed outside traditional Hollywood pathways. Unlike many celebrity children who launch acting careers at a young age, she has maintained a relatively low profile over the years.
Instead, much of the public conversation surrounding her has centered around fashion appearances, social media moments, and rare glimpses shared by her parents.
That changed recently after another major milestone.
Apple just graduated from Vanderbilt University, making her film debut announcement arrive during what already appears to be a transitional moment in her life.
