Benny Blanco is loving his low-key life with Selena Gomez — and wedding bells might be on the horizon, but not just yet.
The 37-year-old producer opened up about their relationship and engagement on Jake Shane’s Therapuss podcast, offering a glimpse into their life together and where they stand with wedding plans.
“Honestly, I really want to take a little break,” Benny admitted. “I’ve been working so much. I’ve realized I haven’t really had much time off in a while and I’m about to just, I just want to lay in bed and forget what day it is because we’ve been in bed just watching stuff.”
When Jake asked if that’s something he enjoys, Benny responded sweetly, “Not usually but with Selena, I can do it all day. She makes me want to hang out and cuddle, just watch things, just eat food, and have piles of food around us and have the best time ever.”
As for wedding planning? That’s still on pause.
“Not yet, that’s why we both need to chill,” he said. “We’ve both been working so much. We got engaged and then we were filming music videos for our album then we then it’s holidays, then right after the holidays we had to start all the promo for our stuff, do that.”
And it hasn’t slowed down since. “Then she left to film her show Only Murders and then I met her then we hung out for a week and then right after that it’s promo and then I’m writing another book so then I had to write a book and then she came back for one day here and I and then it was my birthday and you know.”
“We’re both working on so many things that we hadn’t even had time to get into it but we’re so excited,” Benny added. “I think this summer we’re going to sit down and be like, ‘Okay, what are we doing.’”
And when Jake said the wedding “is going to be lit,” Benny smiled and replied, “I think so. I think it will be like chill. It’ll be chill.”
