BTS drops a new summer bop, and breaks their own record for YouTube premieres while they’re at it!
Jin, J-Hope, RM, Suga, V, Jimin, and Jungkook dropped the music video for their second-ever all-English song “Butter” on YouTube Thursday (May 20) night and over 3.89 million people concurrently tuned in to watch the premiere – setting a new record for biggest music video premiere.
Of course, they also hold the previous record from the premiere of “Dynamite” last year – over three million viewers watched concurrently watched the video upon its release.
It looks like these boys just can’t help but break records!
BTS will be performing “Butter” during the 2021 Billboard Music Awards this Sunday (May 23), where they’re also up for numerous awards – including Best Duo/Group, Top Song Sales Artist, Top Social Artist and Top Selling Song.
They’ll also be hitting the stage this summer during GMA’s 2021 Summer Concert series! Fingers crossed they’ll be performing “Butter” as part of their set.
Congrats on the new record, BTS!
