Social media personality Braden Peters, known online to his followers as “Clavicular,” has officially entered a plea of not guilty following his arraignment on serious criminal charges in Massachusetts. The 20-year-old “looksmaxxing” content creator appeared before a judge on Thursday afternoon at the District Court in Orleans, Massachusetts, in connection with an alleged 2025 incident.
Peters faces three distinct counts: one count of rape, one count of drugging a person for the purpose of sexual intercourse, and one count of procuring liquor while under the age of 21. Following the arraignment, the judge set bail at $10,000,which Peters posted immediately. As part of his release conditions, Peters agreed to surrender his passport, refrain from posting about the complainant on social media, and maintain total distance from her.
Defense counsel for Peters has filed a formal motion seeking to have all charges dismissed, alleging a complete lack of sufficient evidence. Speaking to reporters following the hearing, his legal team pointed to the timing of the criminal filing:
“Braden Peters categorically denies these allegations,” his attorney stated to Fox News. “The fact that these allegations first arose in June 2026 when the complainant and her Florida attorney appeared together at the Chatham Police Department just days before filing an amended civil lawsuit seeking thousands of dollars from Mr. Peters speaks for itself.”
According to court filings, the complainant alleges that Peters invited her to his family’s Cape Cod home in 2025 when she was 17 years old, arranging an Uber ride under the guise of paying her to participate in “looksmaxxing” video content. She claims Peters instructed her to lie to his live Twitch stream viewers about her age, supplied her with alcohol, and subsequently assaulted her while she was asleep. She stated that fear kept her from going to law enforcement until June 2026.
This legal battle represents the latest in a series of legal troubles for Peters, who was previously arrested earlier this year in Florida on battery charges and received a separate criminal charge involving an incident with an animal. Court proceedings in Massachusetts are expected to continue in the coming months as the judge considers the defense’s motion to dismiss.
