Carly Rae Jepsen is entering a new chapter — and this one is deeply personal.

The pop star has officially welcomed her first child with husband Cole M.G.N. (Cole Marsden Greif-Neill), sharing the news in a quiet but heartfelt way.

“Last 2 weeks have been the best of my life,” she wrote, alongside a photo on her Instagram Story. “Welcome to the world little one.”

It’s a simple announcement, but one that reflects the tone Carly has maintained throughout her career — warm, intentional, and never overly performative.

The news comes just months after she and Cole tied the knot in October, marking a year of major life milestones for the couple.

Cole, a respected producer in his own right, has worked with a wide range of artists including Ariel Pink, Blood Orange, and Snoop Dogg. He’s also a six-time Grammy winner for his collaborations with Beck, bringing a deep musical pedigree to the partnership.

Their relationship began in a way that feels very on-brand for both of them — through music.

Carly’s management initially paired them together while she was working on her album The Loveliest Time. Cole contributed as both a co-writer and producer on the track “So Right,” and what started as a creative collaboration gradually evolved into something more.

They announced their engagement in September 2024, choosing to keep much of their relationship out of the spotlight while still sharing key moments with fans.

Now, with the arrival of their first child, that story continues — just in a different direction.

At the same time, Carly isn’t stepping away from her creative world. In fact, she’s expanding it.

In one of the more unexpected — and exciting — developments, Carly has teamed up with Lena Dunham to adapt the 1999 film 10 Things I Hate About You into a Broadway musical. The project reimagines the beloved rom-com, originally starring Julia Stiles and Heath Ledger, for the stage.
