Dakota Johnson’s name was trending on Twitter after an old interview resurfaced.
In a 2017 interview with Vogue, the actress discussed coming to terms with sexuality.
“I’ve been in a phase of my life where I’m fascinated by young women coming to terms with their sexuality,” she explains. “I guess, by proxy, I have been experiencing that in my own life, and it’s very interesting to me.”
Most interestingly, she later added, “Can we make things really juicy? Can we say that I’m taking this time to explore my bisexuality?”
Now, Twitter stans are speculating that the actress may have been hinting on her sexual preference on the DL in that interview.
The supposed proof? Some shared pictures Dakota and Cara Delevingne from back in 2016. The captions claimed they were dating at the time – but neither Dakota nor Cara has ever confirmed it.
“i think it’s time to remind everyone that dakota johnson and cara delevingne were possibly dating back in 2016,” one fan pointed out.
There were also photos of Aubrey Plaza, who happens to be a known bisexual, sitting on Dakota’s lap.
”The fact that Dakota Johnson is bisexual just completed my whole life and gave it purpose,” one fan wrote.
“Hold up… what am I seeing about Dakota Johnson being bi?’ another fan tweeted.
“DAKOTA JOHNSON BI?? IM FOAMING AT THE MOUTH,” one person added.
“Dakota Johnson is bi? So I have a chance?” another chimed in.
Dakota is currently in a relationship with Coldplay front man Chris Martin – they first sparked romance rumors in 2017. They mostly keep it on the DL, telling Tatler in 2018, “I’m not going to talk about it, but I am very happy.” In February of this year though, Dakota made her directorial debut with Coldplay’s “Cry Cry Cry” music video.
The actress is yet to respond to the online speculations.
