Could Olivia Rodrigo and Sabrina Carpenter ever make music together?
According to Rodrigo, fans shouldn’t rule it out.
The Grammy-winning singer is currently gearing up for the release of her third studio album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, due out June 12. As anticipation continues to build, Rodrigo has been making the media rounds and discussing everything from her musical influences to her dream collaborators.
During a new interview with Dazed Digital, the 23-year-old singer was asked which artists she would love to work with in the future.
Rather than naming contemporary pop stars, Rodrigo pointed to two artists she deeply admires.
“I’ve been listening to a lot of PJ Harvey lately. And Fiona Apple,” Olivia shared. “I think those two were just doing something so special and raw and unfiltered. I would love to meet and hang with them.”
The conversation then shifted toward another name fans frequently mention: Sabrina Carpenter.
The two singers have long been linked by internet speculation and past rumors of a feud, making the possibility of a collaboration a particularly intriguing topic among pop music fans.
When the interviewer brought up the idea, Rodrigo laughed before offering a surprisingly open response.
“Oh, gosh. I mean, I’m open… I’m open to all types of collaboration.”
Rodrigo was photographed arriving at BBC Studios in London this week as she continued promoting the upcoming album. Dressed in a black-and-white polka-dot mini dress layered beneath a bright green cropped sweater vest, paired with white thigh-high socks and black heels, the singer greeted waiting fans before heading inside for interviews.
With a new album on the horizon and a packed promotional schedule ahead, Rodrigo remains firmly focused on her next musical chapter. Still, her willingness to entertain collaboration conversations suggests she’s keeping her options open.
And if a Sabrina Carpenter duet ever does happen, it would undoubtedly become one of pop music’s most talked-about moments.
