Tattoo artist Katelyn Larson is setting firm professional boundaries following an influx of studio bookings linked to her high-profile relationship with Heated Rivalry star Hudson Williams.
Taking to her personal business Instagram Story on Tuesday, September 22, Larson addressed clients who have crossed boundaries while visiting the parlor where she works, making a clear distinction between genuine art enthusiasts and boundary-pushing fans.
“hi divas, i didn’t ever want to have to say anything about this, but a couple people have crossed some boundaries recently so i’ve gotta say something real quick,” Larson prefaced her statement.
Acknowledging that Williams’ breakout fame inevitably brought new eyes to her work, Larson made it clear that artistic interest is always welcome. “obviously a lot of you have found the studio because of a certain show and that’s more than okay! if you’re following me or any of the other artists because you genuinely like their art and want to get some cool tattoos please go right ahead don’t ever feel weird about that,” she noted.
However, Larson firmly addressed the line between supporting an artist and prying into a public figure’s personal life through third parties. “this is where i draw a very hard line: booking an appointment with me or anyone else purely because of the connection to the show crosses a huge boundary,” Larson continued. “showing up to your appointment and asking my coworkers any sort of questions about myself or about hudson is hugely uncomfortable for everyone. with peace and love, please stop.”
While Larson and Williams have stepped out together for high-profile industry events—including the Vanity Fair Oscar Party and the Canadian Screen Awards—and occasionally appear on each other’s social media feeds, the couple maintains a deliberate privacy boundary.
The issue of personal space has surfaced before for the couple. During a summer trip to Paris alongside Williams’ team, the actor publicly addressed autograph seekers who trailed them directly to their private accommodations. Williams previously touched on Larson’s preference for staying out of the spotlight during an interview with ETalk Canada in March following a Valentine’s Day post. “She’s not trying to be out there or be perceived,” Williams explained. “She’s always like, ‘I don’t want to be perceived!’”
